Privacy policy

This policy covers pocketmads.com, the PocketMads marketing and blog site. Our companion app at app.pocketmads.com involves accounts and gameplay data and has its own privacy policy.
What we collect
This site has no user accounts and no login. The personal data we handle here is limited to:
- Contact form submissions. If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you type. Submissions are processed and stored by Netlify (our hosting provider) and used only to reply to you.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our host may log standard request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operations.
We do not sell personal data, and we don't use it for anything beyond answering your messages and keeping the site running.
Cookies and local storage
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. We store one preference in your
browser's local storage — your light/dark theme choice (pm-theme)
— which never leaves your device.
Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com. Where required, you'll be asked for consent before advertising cookies are used.
Third-party services
Rendering the site involves a few third parties:
- Netlify — hosting and form handling (see above).
- Google Fonts — the site's typefaces load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address as part of the font request.
- YouTube — the "latest videos" section shows video thumbnails loaded from YouTube's image servers. Clicking a video takes you to YouTube, which has its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold (for this site, that effectively means contact form submissions). Get in touch and we'll sort it out.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
