PMPT #16, the Crimson Cascade, welcomed 531 players piloting 99 different archetypes. With over half a thousand competitors, the meta pressure was at an all-time high. Eight rounds of Swiss set the stage for the single-elimination playoffs.

BragoTCG won the Cascade with an undefeated 13-1 record using Magnezone Oricorio, a breakout performance for that archetype. Magnezone Oricorio appeared three more times in the top eight, taking third and fifth place, making it the clear stand-out strategy of the weekend. Suicune ex Greninja ex held its own with two pilots in the cut, while Mega Altaria ex Giratina ex showed up in seventh and eighth place. Hydreigon Mega Absol ex's fourth-place finish was its only top-eight appearance.

Suicune ex Greninja ex was the most-played deck at 16%, while Mega Altaria ex Greninja took 10.5% with a 50% win rate. But Magnezone Oricorio was the standout result: despite only 4.7% metagame share, it posted a 63.2% win rate, the clear overperformer. Mega Altaria ex Giratina ex (52.4%) also performed well. Greninja Mega Absol ex bottomed out at 31.9%, and Mega Charizard Y ex Entei ex sat at 37.5%.
