Ruler of the Skies brought 452 players into the fortieth PocketMads Pocket Tournament, battling across 110 different archetypes for the $100 prize. Seven rounds of Swiss cut the field down before the top cut settled it in single elimination.

Lockpick04 ran the table on Vespiquen ex Shuckle ex, finishing the event unbeaten at 13-0-1 , and the archetype put a second pilot, Liamkrew, into the top 8 as well. cule93's Mega Manectric ex Heliolisk took second, while two different Mega Lucario ex builds landed in the cut alongside Suicune, Gouging Fire and Mega Altaria , a genuinely varied top 8.

Gouging Fire Dragonair was the deck to beat on paper, showing up in 13.5% of lists, but its 50.6% win rate says the field had answers ready. The real overperformer was Mega Manectric ex Heliolisk , 60.4% across 36 pilots , which backed up its numbers with a grand-final appearance. Vespiquen ex Shuckle ex sat third in popularity and delivered the trophy.
